Elegant Entertainment

A few years ago, I decided that I needed to look at getting an all singing, all dancing new website and to finally achieve high Google ratings with some work on the SEO.

Back then, I knew nothing about IT and computers apart from how to send an email, poke someone on Facebook and keep a track of my accounts on an Excel spreadsheet (although my accountant would disagree with that last one). Fortunately, a lot has changed since then and I have wised up. To be honest, I have had to wise up.

As I have previously said, back then I knew nothing about how the IT industry works and even now, I am far from an expert. However, as an entrepreneur, I followed my nose and approached a number of suppliers and finally made a gut decision to work with a well-established company whom, I felt would do a terrific job. Here is where my tale ends. I made one of the worst business decisions I have ever made and it took me a considerable amount of time to rectify my naive decision-making.

There. I am cleansed.

I rectified my mistake and I learnt the hard way.

The beauty of hindsight hey?

Where am I going with this?

There was a well-documented case in the national news recently, where a couple had taken an entertainment company to court for ruining their wedding day. Yes, they had their wedding day ruined and no matter the result of a lengthy court case, the poor couple will never get a rerun of their big day to make amends.

Here is the point of my story.

I work in an industry that I love and feel passionate about, however, just like the IT world, it is an industry that is completely unregulated and there is a vast array of choice, experience and quality or lack there of in some instances.

I am an Aquarius and we are willing to make mistakes and to learn from them, but we also know when there is no room for an error in judgment and will seek advice.

You will be glad to know that I now have a very nice IT man. I am happy to inform you that he is an expert in his field. I employ him as I completely trust him with all geek matters and ultimately he adds value to my business.

Entertainment is supposed to be an enjoyable experience that will enhance the senses and provide fun, enjoyment and laughter. With the correct decision making process, it is guaranteed to be all of those things and more.

Now, how do I publish this damn thing?
