This multi-talented choir hails from South Africa's largest black community, Soweto, which is alive with vivid energy and rich in many cultures.

Memeza Africa Choir is directed by EMMY Award winner Jimmy Mulovhedzi, who is also the Musical Director of the multi-GRAMMY Award winners; the Soweto Gospel Choir, who bring a true fusion of South African spirit and cultures through colourful African costumes, spectacular vocals, poetry, jaw-dropping tribal dances, and vibrant traditional drums accompanied by a four-piece band in an unparalleled blend of styles and sound.

This energetic group has performed for audiences in Canada, China, Scotland, and Austria, and they recently returned from their 2015 Mandela in Me tour, which included France and Australia.

The incredibly dynamic and passionate performance combines original African and international songs to produce a one-of-a-kind musical experience that emotionally charges listeners and leaves them wanting more.

Merriam Makeba's Pata-pata and the Click song, Paradise Road, Weeping, Many Rivers to Cross, Bob Marley's Redemption song, Labi Siffre's Something inside so strong, and many more local and foreign music are included in the show.

Memeza believes in interacting with their audience by having them sing and dance throughout the presentation......

Our supporters can expect an electrifying concert that will take them on an emotional rollercoaster, with everyone singing one word: UNITY!!!
