Afro-operatic pop phenomenons Since the release of their self-titled first album in 2011, the Gugulethu Tenors have become a household name in South Africa. They have performed at some of South Africa's most prestigious events and festivals, shared stages with local and worldwide superstars, and have been frequently featured in local and international media, while their fan base continues to grow and encompasses a vast and diversified audience.

Their success story, which began more than 18 years ago with four high school students' dreams of performing on stage, has been extensively reported and acts as an inspiration to many.

Highlights of their performances include representing South Africa in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, captivating thousands at Cape Town's FanFests with their soothing harmonies and remarkable voices, receiving standing ovations at festivals such as Aardklop Arts Festival, Cultivaria, and Klein Karoo Klassique to name a few, wowing corporate audiences across the country, and performing for politicians, dignitaries, and superstars such as Oprah Winfrey, Chris Rock, and Mariah Carey.

Their foreign appearances include a 2013 Europe Tour that took them to Holland, France, and Switzerland. They've also been invited to perform twice on a Russian theatre tour. They also received favourable treatment from Tanzania's President, who witnessed them perform for the first time in Tanzania and requested them again within the same month this year.

The Gugulethu Tenors' ambition goes beyond success as performers; they want to be role models for South Africa's young and to display the depth and diversity of South Africa's cultural history via their singing.
