What distinguishes the band is mainly its participatory live performance, which focuses on fan engagement and simply having a good time on stage.

4am takes great pride in making their shows unforgettable. 4am are annual SA Festivals favourites, performing on the biggest stages at Oppikoppi, Splashy Fen, Up The Creek, Winterfest at Afriski, Wine Not Festival, Oktoberfest PTA, and many others.

Over the years, 4am has shared the stage with prominent South African singers as well as internationals. The band's dynamic, catchy style and contagious performances have led to appearances on stages at numerous successful events over the years, including corporate parties, private celebrations, beer festivals, gin festivals, markets, and so on.

4am has also had extensive radio play on all major South African radio stations, including 5fm, 94.7, Jacaranda, East Coast Radio, KFM, Mixfm, Smile FM, 2 Oceans Vibe, Tuks FM, Pukfm, and others.

"Red Sand" and "African Skies" from the 2019 EP are still getting airplay. Previous singles such as "Sirens," "Burn," and "Dust n Dimes" have all enjoyed similar radio success.
