Denim
Gauteng
They've wowed audiences in clubs and festivals around the country and beyond. In just six weeks, they completed the largest Southern African tour by a South African artist, with over 125 shows in South Africa, Swaziland, and Botswana, among other countries! They then expanded their wings and rang in the new year with a spectacular New Year's Eve party on the beach at one of Dubai's finest hotels. They were drawn to the international coast and spent six weeks in August and September 2005 touring around England, Ireland, and Dubai, where they were requested to perform at a number of clubs and festivals, including the world-famous Notting Hill Carnival.
DENIM has a string of hits to their credit and has appeared at some of South Africa's most important events. They are largely regarded as one of South Africa's top live acts. The trio has received numerous honours for their music as well as their presentation and dedication. Corporate clients include Microsoft, ABI, SAB, Edcon, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Boxing SA, Sun International, Unilever, De Beers, Colgate, and others.
DENIM returned to South Africa for a five-city national tour hosted by Sun International, which featured performances at some of the country's top venues, including Hanover (CT), Krakatoa (DBN), The Boardwalk (PE), Sun City, and Club 29 (Kimberly).
Success Symbol
The fact that they have been hired again and again by the same customers, event companies, festival organisers, and club owners demonstrates that the group is not only professional to work with and a clear hit with their audience, but also a very difficult act to follow! The year 2007 began with a bang as DENIM released their hit single "Cant take my eyes off you" off their new album, which saw the band dominate the number one slot on various radio stations across South Africa and reach record sales in its first few weeks of release.
Presentations of Particular Interest
DENIM has written and produced television music, including the Take 5 and Kids News Room themes. They have been invited to perform at a number of prestigious occasions and humanitarian events, including Zindzi Mandela's Birthday Party, where they performed in front of Nelson Mandela once more.
Making a Difference in the Community
Despite their busy schedules, the group has found time to volunteer in their community. They work closely with Reach for a Dream, The Variety Club, and CHOC, but they have also collaborated with many other deserving charitable organisations, most recently the Miss Earth Foundation's Greening programmes. DENIM is a must-see band with a well-earned reputation as one of South Africa's top live acts!
