Jana van der Walt founded harpNOTED in 2013 as a successful venue for solo and ensemble performances of classical and contemporary music.
HarpNOTED is unusual in that she offers a live band option for parties and weddings. Most harpists have a completely classical repertoire, but harpNOTED believes that every customer should have exactly what they want, thus she is happy to tailor her ensemble choices and song kinds to each client's specific needs.
Duet
Book the Harp & Flute ensemble for a traditional and elegant feel, or a violin or cello with Harp for the deep resonant notes of a string ensemble.
If you want to personalise your event, harpNOTED also gives the option of Harp & Voice to create gentle acoustic background music or somewhat more energetic music depending on the purpose.
Trio
Book the Harp, Cello, and Classical Guitar Ensemble for a totally unique and magnificent sound. She also works with the violin, cello, viola, and double bass if you prefer a string quartet.
If you prefer a more modern feel, hire a singer accompanied by harp and cello.
Performing Music
Jana enjoys collaborating with singers to create an enthusiastic live band option for somewhat more lively events like wedding pre-drinks.
