Nuevo Latino SA's compelling, high-energy performances in Spanish provide spectators with the entire Latino experience, from sizzling Salsa to vibey Merengue, energetic Reggaeton, and sensual Samba.
The band was created in 2016 and is inspired by Latin Grammy winner Marc Anthony, Enrique Iglesias, Gente de Zona, Shakira, Maluma, and Cuban songbird Celia Cruz, among others. This Johannesburg-based band, led by a Latino frontman, César "Adrelatin" Alvarado from Peru, takes you on a strong, participatory, and one-of-a-kind musical tour through the Latin continent, effortlessly integrating musicianship, authenticity, originality, and tradition.Expect spectacular renditions of songs you know and love, such as "Despacito", "La Bamba", "Guantanamera", "Danza Kuduro", "Waka Waka", "Ai Se Eu Te Pegu", and more, that will have audiences dancing and, very often, begging for an encore! César Alvarado is an experienced performer, dancer, and vocalist. On stage, he is joined by great vocalist,
South Africans Lee Anne Dyer and
Diogo Costa (Brazil) is a guitarist.
Riaan van Rensburg (South Africa), a well-known percussionist, and
Ronal Diaz (Ecuador) is a keyboardist.
In August 2018, they made their international debut in Zambia. The band has also been asked to return for performances at popular events, prestigious venues, and local festivals, including Caravela, Casalinga Groves and Vineyards, Randfontein Festival, Magalies Portugese Festival, Fiesta Latina Annual Latino Festival, and Lusitoland, where they opened for MiCasa.
