Pamela Mpanza
Gauteng
Pamela Mpanza, a Soweto native, is an amazing performer whose voice evokes every emotion she sings. Her vocal prowess was already apparent at the age of 12, as she graced primary school assemblies. Her enthusiasm for music as an art deepened as she advanced through high school and church as a leading vocalist.
She then joined the Gauteng parliamentary choir before becoming a lead vocalist and songwriter for a live band named Family. Her music has an African feel to it with motivation that appeals to both young and old listeners. Miss Mpanza believes that every human being is unique and should embrace what sets them apart from the crowd.
She recently released her debut track, ZAZI M'AFRICA (Know Who You Are), which was produced by Andile Finca and Lungelo Moti. This African queen is set to take over the globe!
Pamela gets her inspiration from the Bible and spending time in God's presence. When this incredible woman is not on stage performing or recording in the studio, she is attending church or spending time with her four-year-old daughter Thando, whom she adores.
Pamela enjoys listening to African music. She looks up to the late Busi Mhlongo, Letta Mbulu, Miriam Makeba, Salif Keita, Khadja Nin, and Ringo Madlingozi, who have all walked this route.
