Ruby Tuesday, a seven-piece band, performs entirely live to audiences all around South Africa. Ruby Tuesday grew in popularity after winning the Battle of the Cover Bands in 2012. They were booked for corporate functions, festivals, private functions, and music events such as The Chris Hani Tribute concert, Celebration of 20 years of democracy in SA (Germiston Stadium), The Impala Biker Rally, Mercedes Benz year end function, and The Chinese New Year Ball.
Female lead singer Jo Day and male lead singer/guitarist Keith Mac (who has years of international touring experience (and toured in 2015 with international stars of the 1980s including Billy Ocean, Go West, Hazel Dean, Katrina and the Waves in The 80s Rewind Festival) sing solo and duo songs from oldies to current hits, complemented by backing harmonies by singer/songwriter Justine Mac and other band members) sing solo and duo songs from oldies to current hits.
Piet Herbst (Musical director & keyboardist), Pierre Broodryk (guitarist), John Ainscow (drummers), and bassist Chris Frank (originally played for famous 80s band, Cinema) passionately play an exciting repertoire ranging from laid back songs to upbeat pop & rock, from 60s, 70s, 80s, to current cover chart toppers, as well as some original songs."
