Savannah Sun is a fun party band that encapsulates the essence of our lovely rainbow country. Savannah Sun's band members each bring over 15 years of experience in the music industry and are full of life and enthusiasm. From the greatest of South African music to contemporary Top 40 hits. From Miriam Makeba, Mafikizolo, Micasa, and Freshly Ground to Bruno Marz, Neyo, Michael Jackson, Lionel Richie, and Chris Brown, there's something for everyone. Savannah Sun is an expert at getting people on the dance floor and keeping them there! The band can be booked as a duo, trio, or as a full live 5-piece band.
Megan Carelse and Steven Lee Lewis lead the band with years of expertise, energy, and skill. Steven is the first South African winner of the MOTOROKR STAR competition, which sends the winner to New York to record a song with Wyclef Jean and Fergie from the Black-Eyed Peas. Steven is also an X-FACTOR South Africa winner with the group “Four” which took place in 2014. Steven opened for One Direction, Nicki Minaj, and Kool & the Gang.
Megan has performed in classic musicals such as Hair, Rent, We Will Rock You, Aspects of Love, Evita, and Jesus Christ Superstar. As a performer and vocalist, she is a recognised face on stage for some of the most important corporate events. Megan transitioned seamlessly from stage to screen as Stacy in Rhythm City, Tessa Ford in Cambion Chronicles, Roxy in Magic Moves, and most recently as Detective Charmaine Williams on Generations: The Legacy.
