Stones & Bones is a South African DJ and production pair noted in the global house music community for fusing spiritual African vocals and rhythms with European-styled dance sounds.
The duo rose to prominence thanks to their distinct DJ and performance setup. Their performance of the best African house music is enhanced with live vocal chants, saxophones, flutes, and the occasional new school African dance. Their song "Amahloni" with Toshi reached number one on the Traxsource afro charts and was broadcast on all major South African radio stations, including Metro FM, YFM, Ukhozi FM, and Ikwekwesi FM. It earned over 500k YouTube views.
Following Amahloni's success, Stones & Bones toured Europe and Africa in 2018 and 2019, performing more than 20 gigs in Greece, France, and Uganda.
Upon their return from Europe, the duo founded the "Live Spaces" concept, through which they travel to South African townships and offer music concerts in uniquely South African places such as taxi queues, streets, spazza shops, and so on. Local DJs from the area join in to present the townships' unique house music. The concert is live streamed on Facebook and published to YouTube so that overseas fans of African music may get a genuine and raw flavour of South African house music and culture.
Stones & Bones' aim remains to unite people from many cultures and countries through soul-touching spiritual dance hits that transcend race and culture. When the occasion calls for it, Stones & Bones will also perform with a band. Vocals, saxophone, guitar, keyboards, and bass combine to create an explosive and one-of-a-kind afro experience.
