As host of The Dan Nicholl Show, a prime time celebrity talk show broadcast on SuperSport throughout sub Saharan Africa and currently in its tenth season, Dan engages with famous faces on a weekly basis, but it’s as a presenter and master of ceremonies that he is most prolific, hosting over 100 events a year around the world.

Dan hosts the annual black-tie gala dinner at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship at St. Andrews in Scotland. He has travelled to New York and Philadelphia to host Beyond Sport United, and has hosted the launch of Just Challenge in Hong Kong, the Bangkok International Rugby Tens, AfrAsia Bank Mauritius Open, DHL’s Race To Rugby World Cup launch in London, Criteo’s Digital Summit in Dubai, King Power Polo Cup in London, Snow Bike Festival in Gstaad, Switzerland, Kevin Pietersen’s London gala dinner, and the King of Lesotho’s annual gala dinner. As an ambassador for the Laureus Sport For Good Foundation, Dan hosted the 2016 Laureus Academy dinner in Berlin, the 2017 Patron’s Dinner in Monaco with Prince Albert, and the pre-show at the Laureus Awards in Monaco in 2019.

Locally, Dan has hosted the Absa Cape Epic for 14 years, the Vodacom Origins of Golf series for over a decade, and nine of the first 10 editions of the Cape Town Tens. In 2018 Dan hosted the first Appetite Festival with all three Australian MasterChef judges, and in recent years has overseen Distell’s global conference, all events at the prestigious Dimension Data Pro-am, MasterCard’s World Cup launch with Dan Carter and Bryan Habana, the Nandos Fireball Invitational, book launches with The Parlotones, Zelda le Grange and Pete Goffe-Wood, the Spur Group conference, and the opening of David Higgs’s award-winning restaurant Saint.

For the last four years Dan has also hosted the South African Tech and E-Commerce Awards.Dan also hosts weekly online wine show ‘Dan Really Likes Wine’, presented by Pick n Pay, and works regularly on wine events, including the annual Cape Wine Auction, in 2016 setting a South African record, selling a single bottle of wine for R1.4-million.
