Writer and Comedian Lihle Msimang has been in the entertainment industry for well over 10 years.
Her comedic journey began in 2011 when she won “best upcoming comedian” at the Nando’s Comedy Showdown, which saw her performing at the Nando’s Comedy Festival, alongside world renowned, comedy great Mark Curry, famously known for his role as “Mr. Cooper” on the 90s television show Hangin’ With Mr. Cooper.
Fully equipped with a BA Degree in Motion Picture and Live Action, Lihle not only knows how to pull a great performance, but also, how to create something entertaining from conceptualization to final product.
Lihle has performed at various, prestigious shows including being a regular at Blacks Only, Johannesburg International Comedy Festival, and Comedy Central Presents: Savanna Comedy Bar. She has also travelled to several parts of the world with her comedy, performing in New York, Los Angeles, London, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Zambia and Lesotho.
Lihle’s ability to tell a story on stage, has given her the opportunity to write several commercials and television shows, such as Single Gals, How To Ruin Christmas and The Roast of Khanyi Mbau, which all went on to gross well in their respective channels and platforms.
