Larah Eksteen


Toe-tapping jazz standards, ultra-smooth instrumentals, and feel-good bossa nova grooves; this is the Larah Eksteen experience. A life long love of music led the way to Larah’s mastery as a multi-instrumentalist, singer and composer, now bringing her eclectic on-stage elegance to venues across Cape Town.


The perfect soundtrack for wine- soaked nights, classy corporate events, and classic wedding celebrations, her calendar is bursting with all kinds of bookings.


Her passion extends tocomposition, having released four dynamic studio albums infused with cross- genre variety and retro romance. As a multi-disciplinary creative that started playing the violin at the age of 3, graduated with two first instruments, performed abroad, studied music production in London, composed and produced for film and television, Larah has carved her way through many spheres in the music industry.


She has collaborated with top artists – from Afro Pop to Punk- such as Judith Sephuma, J’Something,Donald Moatshe, RJ Benjamin, Albert Frost, Arno Carstens, Dear Reader, Fokofpolisiekar, Prime Circle, DJ Tira, Vicky Sampson and many more.


A fierce and feminine creative at heart, her technical prowess is matched by her unforgettable flair, with red lipped melodies, stilettos on the loop pedal, and a fresh, contemporary sound that leaves every listener wanting more.


Sibusiso Matsimela


Part of a new generation South African musicians, Sibusiso Matsimela reflects the ideaof cross- cultural jazz.


He has roots in South African, American Jazz and Traditional Africanmusic. Born in Mpumalanga, raised in the township of Nellmapius, Sbu has now rooted himself on the jazz gig scene in Cape Town after graduating at UCT in Jazz.


With international exposure and training, he was awarded a bursary to attend the international Society of bassists in San Francisco in 2011 andthe Italian Arcevia Jazz Festival exchange in 2015.


Sibusiso also spends his time as an educator investing and mentoring young artists in the Western Cape. He is one of Cape Town most sought after session musicians and averages 3-4 shows per week at Cape Town’s finest establishments.
