At fourteen I went to Holy Family College where I met some members of the Buskaid Ensemble in Soweto then with a rising interest in classical music I went to the National School of the Arts where I took lessons with Maria Braco while there I completed my Abrsm grades 5,6,7 and 8 violin practical & theory 4,5 & 6.During my academic grade 10,I took extra violin lessons with Caius Opera. That year I applied and successfully played for the Eistedfords, Roedean Competition, Grahamstown Music competition, Phillip Moore competition & the National School of the Arts Classical Music competition. While at NSA I also played for the JPO Academy orchestra under Sonja Bass then after my matric I took lessons with Miro Chakaryan under the JPO’s Cadetship program. I left the cadetship, worked as a gigging musician & taught in Midrand at the Cape Gateway Church. I then played for the Gauteng Camerata under Kutlwano Masote for a year.
