A versatile sought-after musician, and dynamic performer; Jane has become the go-to girl for all things violin, especially in her hometown of Durban, South Africa.With a Masters degree in music as well as 9 years as a professional violinist in the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra, you can be assured that Jane is not just a pretty face, but she knows her stuff.
She performed as an electric violinist on the Barnyard Theatre circuit, as well as with artists such as Michael Buble, Ronan Keating and Josh Groban on their respective SA tours. From classical, to pop, to rock, and dance music, Jane can do and has done it all.
She is currently most known in the public eye as half of dynamic South African music group, Veranda Panda, merging the worlds of violin and electronic dance music together to create an original and high-energy style of music unlike any other. She has performed on every major club and festival stage in South Africa, and beyond to festivals in Swaziland, Zimbabwe, Reunion Islands and France.
Together with Liam, Jane writes, records and performs Veranda Panda’s original music, which has been playlisted and has charted on mainstream radio stations, such as 5fm.Jane is no stranger to the corporate scene, and performs frequently in Durban and around the country as an electric violinist, either as a soloist, or a collaborator with other musicians, dancers and artists for specialized performances; for example, performing laser violin with Idols finalists for the Standard Bank Mark of Excellence awards, or playing aerial electric violin suspended up in the air along with dancers and aerial acrobats which she has done on more than one occasion.
