Tobi Odeyemi

Tobi Odeyemi has built an extensive career as a saxophonist, delivering soulful tunes in live musical sessions and recordings for many years. He performs in genres including Contemporary Jazz, Gospel Jazz, Afro Pop, Soul, R&B, and Afro Jazz. Known for his mastery and distinctive style, Tobi’s soulful saxophone tone is both pleasant and captivating, making him a sought-after artist. With over 20 years of professional experience, he brings a wealth of expertise to every performance.

In 2010, Tobi relocated from Nigeria to South Africa, having accumulated about eight years of musical experience in his home country. There, he performed with various artists and bands, including Buchi, Jimi Olulami, Perfected Praise Singers, and Solid Rock Choir, and took part in prominent live performances and road shows, such as The Experience - Nigeria’s largest annual music gathering. In South Africa, he has collaborated with a range of notable artists, including Ringo, BeBe, Groove Masters, Sianne, Boki Ntime, Ayo Solanke, John Karounwi, Kunle Ayo, Yvonne May, and Aniete, among others.

Tobi has performed for distinguished personalities like President Cyril Ramaphosa (then Vice-President), Fikile Mbalula, and Nigeria’s Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo. His client list includes esteemed organizations and venues, such as Sun International (The Maslow Hotel), Skoobs Palace of Books (Montecasino), Sun City, SANRAL, Emperor’s Palace, Melrose Arch, Katzy’s Restaurant Rosebank, La Vie En Rose, IBV Vault, Smile Foundation, Hard Rock Cafe Sandton, Olives and Plates, and Emerald Casino Vaal, with more engagements in the pipeline. His performances have taken him to numerous private and corporate functions across various cities in South Africa.
