ARTIST ENQUIRY

In the pursuit of what can be achieved as a one man band and loop artist, a creator of music that overflows with African pride and joy. Tanner Wareham is a musician, singer and songwriter from Durban, South Africa. He is one of the country's most gifted loop artists. Specialising as a one-man band, he uses multiple instruments to capture the sound of a full band, either live as a solo artist or accompanied by his percussionist.

In recent years Tanner has found success embracing local languages and genres within his own style allowing him to capture the spirit and sound of South Africa and Africa in a way that connects with audiences at home and all over the world, having a special impact on the millions of South African expats dispersed around the world that long for a taste of home. Tanner recently released "Umoya Wethu," an anthem of unity, partnering with local African singer Angel Mazibuko. The song sparked an incredible response online, with audiences likening him to the next Jonny Clegg, highlighting the need for what Tanner brings to the South African music scene.
