Themba Maseko was born in Sebokeng zone 14, Vaal. He started singing opera at an early age at high school and won at numerous school competitions.

He then furthered his studies in music where he obtained a Btech degree in Vocal Art and Bmus Honours in Vocal Pedagogy.

As a professional opera singer, he performed productions such as Carmen by G. Bizet, Magic Flute by W.A Mozart, La Bohéme by G. Puccini, Le lísir Damore by G. Donizetti, Princess Magogo by M. Khumalo, Cosi Fanttute by W.A Mozart, Porgy & Bess by G.Gershwin, Elijah by F. Mendelssohn, The Creation by G. Handel, Verdi Requiem Mass by Verdi, Winnie The Opera by Ndodana Breen, Cavalleria Rusticana by Giordano, the Crucifixion by Isaac Steiner, La Traviata vy Verdi, Don Giovanni by W.A Mozart.

Currently a vocal technique lecturer at the University of Pretoria and at The National School of Arts.
