Shelley has over 20 years of B2B sales experience under her belt, having entered the sales industry at 19 years old, she has built a long and well-established reputation for high performance – first as an individual contributor, then a manager, and finally as the founder of The Sales Counsel.

Shelley served as the Sales and Marketing Manager heading up media advertising sales for Kingfisher FM, where she featured as a co-host of the breakfast show for several years.

After being headhunted by Raizcorp, Shelley moved to Johannesburg in 2011 and mentored over 60 companies in their portfolio, it was this experience coupled with a strong entrepreneurial background in her own family that spurred her on to take the bold step of founding The Sales Counsel.

Shelley was the first person in her family to possess a passport, and she has now spoken on 5 continents in 11countries where she speaks to a variety of large audiences.

Shelley is honoured to represent South Africa as a panelist on the annual International Women in Sales Awards in Europe.

In 2019 Shelley took home a winning award from the PWC Gender Mainstreaming Awards in the category ‘Inclusive Leader: Entrepreneur’ and was also a runner-up in the category,
