Carol Thorns is a ground-breaking electric cellist celebrated as one of South Africa's leading artists in the electric string genre. With a Bachelor of Music degree from Rhodes University (graduating Cum Laude) and a certification in Entertainment PR from PRISA, Carol combines technical mastery with a talent for captivating audiences worldwide. Known for her innovative approach and passion for unique concepts, Carol has designed a portfolio of original projects and music brands that blend audio and visual experiences, each designed to elevate the cello to new realms. These include The Bubble (also known as That Girl in The Bubble), CODA Africa (an Afro-fusion band), The Galaxy Dress, The Blossom Dress, and Rosanthorn, an all-female cello trio.
